Job Title: Principal Cloud Solutions Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Cloud Solutions Engineer to join our team at Oracle. As a key member of our Cloud Product Solutions Engineering organization, you will work closely with strategic customers to support their adoption of next-generation Cloud services.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing and fast-moving engineering and product group focused on delivering Oracle's next-generation infrastructure-as-a-service platform. You will be responsible for driving rapid customer adoption of IaaS platforms by working directly with customers and account teams to anticipate customer needs.

You will own the strategy and execution plan for Cloud adoption, focused on customer excellence. You will explain transformational concepts to executive decision makers and influence their technology strategy. You will also keep your technical skills honed and develop new ones to make strong contributions in the technology community.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive rapid customer adoption of IaaS platforms by working directly with customers and account teams to anticipate customer needs.
  • Own the strategy and execution plan for Cloud adoption, focused on customer excellence.
  • Explain transformational concepts to executive decision makers and influence their technology strategy.
  • Keep your technical skills honed and develop new ones to make strong contributions in the technology community.
  • Present to customers at multiple levels, from engineers up to CxO.
  • Monitor the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customers on technical matters.
Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of experience in an IT, platform environment working with large Enterprises.
  • 5+ years of experience leading specific technical domain teams such as software development, cloud computing, system engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, and data & analytics.
  • 3+ years of working experience with Cloud Providers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Significant experience with enterprise IT and networking implementation as well as a working knowledge of security and compliance issues.
  • Ability to create detailed customer engagement plans to keep up with the high velocity of features being delivered on the platform.
  • Deep understanding of cloud competitive landscape; customer priorities and challenge.
  • Subject Matter Expert on Linux.
  • Strong technical acumen, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Deep experience migrating application portfolios to Cloud.
  • Strong Communication, Presentation, and speaking skills.
  • Strong Data Center, Infrastructure, and IT Operations Exposure.
  • Strong Project Management and Reporting skills.
  • Native / Bilingual, or Professional Proficiency in English & Japanese.
