Position Overview

As a Truck Maintenance Consultant (TMC), you will deliver exceptional service to our customers by leveraging your comprehensive understanding of our products and services. Your primary responsibilities will include creating work orders, promoting our offerings, and managing over-the-counter transactions, all while ensuring that every traveler leaves in better condition than they arrived.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a positive and trustworthy environment that prioritizes outstanding customer service and exceeds expectations.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of our products and services.
  • Utilize strong sales techniques to enhance revenue while maintaining professionalism and integrity.
  • Draft, detail, and process work orders and over-the-counter transactions; accurately document work order estimates and secure purchase orders.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for parts sourcing and delivery.
  • Prepare end-of-shift reports and understand various payment methods.
  • Ensure the safety of customers and team members at all times.
Qualifications:
  • A committed team player eager to contribute to our success.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience in customer service or cashier roles; experience in repair or parts environments is a plus.
  • Proficient suggestive selling abilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in various conditions.
  • A valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves regular communication and interaction with customers. The position may require standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.

Work Environment:

Employees may be exposed to outdoor elements and varying weather conditions. The work environment may also include exposure to fumes, moving mechanical parts, and high noise levels.
