POSITION SUMMARY:

The Category Manager is tasked with spearheading the formulation of comprehensive category strategies across the Food and Beverage and Hospitality sectors. This role necessitates effective collaboration and communication across various departments, blending innovative thinking with strategic oversight, financial insight, and operational expertise.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in managing expenditures in multi-location Food & Beverage and Hospitality environments.
  • Experience with procurement systems and the procure-to-pay cycle is essential.
  • Proficiency in generating and interpreting reports using business intelligence tools is required.
  • Detail-oriented with a professional demeanor, demonstrating strong organizational, time management, and project management capabilities.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities, with a talent for engaging effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including presentation capabilities.
  • Demonstrated work ethic and the ability to foster collaborative relationships throughout the organization.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, etc.) is required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide both business and technical support.
  • Act as a liaison among corporate sourcing, property purchasing managers, and IT to ensure efficient system access and administration.
  • Assist in identifying reporting needs and access based on business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain various dashboards within Ariba and disseminate as necessary.
  • Oversee User Access Control, granting approvals for user licenses as appropriate.
  • Manage the User Access Certification process to ensure all users with privileged access are authorized by management.
  • Serve as the primary contact for Internal Audit inquiries.
  • Establish and maintain all Approval Flow configurations.
  • Manage and adjust all system exception parameters.
  • Support Enablement activities with relevant reporting and follow-up.
  • Oversee vendor integration and user acceptance testing processes.
  • Conduct additional analysis and reporting as required.
  • Facilitate training and educational sessions for end users.
  • Manage supplier catalogs and guided purchasing within SAP Ariba.
  • Support the Ariba Intelligent Spend Business Network (ISBN).
  • Oversee the creation and execution of Supplier templates and related projects.
