Key ResponsibilitiesThe Radiographic Equipment Technician is responsible for conducting precise X-ray inspections to ensure production quality control. This role involves identifying a variety of manufacturing defects, including BGA, QFN, and PTH solder fill issues, voids, component damage, and counterfeit device detection.
- Set up and operate various machines in the production line for assembling printed circuit boards.
- Interpret and adhere to standard operating procedures, assembly instructions, engineering documentation, and assembly drawings to meet quality and production objectives.
- Document operating parameters and perform operator-level preventative maintenance on equipment, including routine cleaning of machine surfaces and surrounding areas.
- Comply with all safety protocols and material handling procedures.
- Understand workmanship standards related to assembly processes.
- Develop familiarity with electronic components, including part numbers, descriptions, and values.
- Communicate any quality concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues as needed.
- Assist with additional tasks in the production area as required.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Associate's degree, military experience, vocational training, or equivalent experience.
- Basic mathematical skills are essential.
- Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and follow detailed instructions.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
- Awareness of current safety regulations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Good hand-eye coordination is necessary.
- Occasional lifting, not exceeding 30 pounds.
