Job Summary

Hope for Youth is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, including bathrooms, kitchen/break rooms, and other areas. You will also assist with light maintenance and repair work, such as painting, gutter cleaning, and unclogging toilets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily and deep cleaning of facilities, including bathrooms, kitchen/break rooms, and other areas.
  • Assist with light maintenance and repair work, such as painting, gutter cleaning, and unclogging toilets.
  • Follow guidelines for regular routine cleaning schedules to maintain above minimum standards for cleanliness.
  • Work independently, moving from job to job, and documenting completion of work on required forms.
  • Respond to work order requests/special cleaning instructions in a timely manner.
  • Stay late/come in early, or on evenings/holidays for emergencies such as emergency cleaning needs and snow removal assistance.
  • Adhere to state regulations and applicable code of conduct.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, including responding to emergencies.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Physical Requirements: read/write reports and log entries, walking/standing/sitting for prolonged periods, bending/stooping, kneeling/squatting, climbing stairs, reaching overhead, repetitive wrist/finger movements.
