Pennoni is a multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm with a strong history of working with various local, state, and federal clients in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Water Resources Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydrology and hydraulic modeling, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control design.

The successful candidate will support various projects by performing a wide range of water resources related tasks, including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater management and drainage design, erosion and sediment control design, flood studies, bridge hydraulics and scour analysis, and plan and report preparation.

The engineer will interact with internal staff and clients regarding the development and design of projects, and will be responsible for the development of project plans, and the associated technical reports, quantities, and specifications.

Additionally, the engineer will have the opportunity to manage tasks/projects scope, schedule, and budget, and will perform occasional field data collection and site visits.

The ideal candidate will have a BSCE degree, FE/EIT, PE, and 5-12 years of work experience in water resources engineering.

Proficiency with hydrologic/hydraulic (H&H) modeling of natural systems and stormwater collection systems, floodplain management and modeling, culvert and bridge hydraulics, scour analysis, erosion and sediment control design, drainage design, stormwater management design, plan review and plan and report preparation.

Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software such as PondPack, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, HY-8, and Watershed Modeling System, and AutoCAD and MicroStation with design experience (3D modeling) strongly preferred.

Experience with PennDOT, PA Turnpike, DelDOT, MDSHA, VDOT and/or DCDOT is a plus.

Effective written and oral communication skills are a must for preparation of project reports, specifications, studies, and other engineering documents.

Well organized and detail oriented, self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment.

Computer skills required: AutoCAD, Microstation, PondPack, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, HY-8, Watershed Modeling System, and Microsoft Office Suite.
