About the Role

Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club, managed by Troon Golf, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Staff member to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional maintenance and repair services to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform daily repairs and maintenance services for all aspects of the operation, including facilities, grounds, and other areas as required.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the exterior of the facility, including emptying trash cans, sweeping walkways, picking up litter, and arranging outdoor furniture.
  • Tennis Court and Pool Maintenance: Ensure the maintenance of the tennis courts and swimming pool, including regular cleaning and upkeep.
  • Interior Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of interior areas of the facility, including emptying trash cans and ashtrays, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and arranging furniture.
  • Supply Management: Identify and report to supervisor when supplies are needed.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as required to support the smooth operation of the facilities.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: HVAC or Electric Experience.
  • Physical Demands: Frequently uses hands, reaches with hands and arms. Regularly climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, crawls, stands, walks, sits. Frequently lifts or carries up to 50 pounds.
  • Environment/Noise: Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions, near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate.
  • Certificates/Licenses: No certifications or licenses are required.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job.
