Job Title: Staff Registered Nurse II - Infusion

University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse II - Infusion to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse II - Infusion will administer standard chemotherapy and biotherapy agents, research study and non-chemotherapy medications to oncology patients. The incumbent will also monitor therapeutic responses and side effects, and obtain pharmacokinetic blood samples and other laboratory specimens as required by each protocol.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer standard chemotherapy, research study agents, biotherapy agents, and non-chemotherapy medications.
  • Monitor therapeutic responses and side effects, and obtain pharmacokinetic blood samples and other laboratory specimens as required by each protocol.
  • Assist in maintenance of up-to-date protocol information in clinical areas.
  • Document in a concise, accurate, and legible manner according to clinical practice standards.
  • Support patients and their families during trial treatment, and educate them about their treatment and protocol requirements.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred.
  • RNs hired with an Associates (ASN) degree have 2 years to complete the BSN degree.
  • Oncology Nurse Society Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Administration Guidelines provider course required.
  • Oncology certified (OCN) preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of oncology nursing experience, including recent experience in administering chemotherapy and biotherapy agents.
