Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and process medication orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness based on patient data.
  • Utilize clinical pharmacy expertise to assess and optimize patient medication regimens for safety and efficacy.
  • Act as a key resource for both patients and the healthcare team, providing timely medication information.
  • Document patient care activities in electronic medical records and other relevant databases.
  • Prepare and dispense medications, including both sterile and non-sterile compounds, adhering to hospital standards.
  • Oversee pharmacy operations, including technology management, inventory control, and record keeping.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians, interns, and students, ensuring compliance with best practices.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support pharmacy operations.

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Pharmacist license in good standing with the Nevada Board of Pharmacy.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Completion of an accredited pharmacy residency program.
