Aquatic Project Manager Job Description

About the Role:

SOLitude is seeking a highly skilled Aquatic Project Manager to join our team. As an Aquatic Project Manager, you will be responsible for organizing, planning, and scheduling all lake management projects. This includes obtaining all necessary permits, presenting at professional client/town meetings, and providing clear direction and project goals to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and plan all lake management projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • Obtain all necessary permits and approvals for designated management programs.
  • Present at professional client/town meetings to discuss project plans and progress.
  • Provide clear direction and project goals to the team, ensuring everyone is aligned and working towards the same objectives.
  • Monitor project timelines and ensure projects are completed within the estimated duration.
  • Maintain and ensure equipment is well-equipped to complete the job.
  • Review and approve all reports and management programs prior to submission.
  • Occasionally assist the team in the field as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related science, such as environmental science, biology, or ecology.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a related field, such as lake management, water quality, or environmental consulting.
  • State and federal licenses required for the position.
  • Aptitude in using various hand tools and mechanical skills.
  • Ability to swim and operate aquatic vessels independently.
  • Advanced knowledge of aquatic vegetation and proper management programs.
  • Proficiency in GPS and GIS technology.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in a repetitive manner.
  • Valid driver's license.
