Job Title: Business Systems Developer

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking an experienced Business Systems Developer to join our team. This role will involve building new and existing applications in preparation for the launch of new business initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial systems, including Blackrock Aladdin, Bloomberg data, and ALM experience. They will also possess excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly troubleshoot issues and think outside the box.

This position requires the ability to work independently, as well as effectively collaborate with diverse teams. The successful candidate will be highly proficient in data manipulation, SQL queries, and have prior experience with JIRA and Confluence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build new and existing applications in preparation for the launch of new business initiatives.
  • Align with business teams and technology teams to assess business needs and transform them into scalable applications.
  • Work closely with quantitative modeling teams and portfolio managers.
  • Collaborate with business groups to define solutions to business needs, including eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
  • Analyze and document system/report design requirements, including technical specifications, pseudo code, database table design, and diagramming business process flows.
  • Conduct project-related tests, including developing detailed test plans, test cases, and expected results.
  • Develop subject matter expertise on trading, performance/attribution, and risk analytics platforms.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting production and test issues.
  • Take deep analytical dives on data while being able to conceptualize, synthesize, and critically evaluate gathered information.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate (B.S.) degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or Information System preferred.
  • Minimum 8+ years' experience in the financial industry.
  • Experience with Blackrock Aladdin required.
  • Prior experience with Bloomberg data is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of ALM experience with deep knowledge of performance, risk, and attribution.
  • Previous experience with reinsurance industry is a huge plus.
  • In-depth understanding of various Fixed Income instruments and their analytics, characteristics, and benchmarks.
  • Candidate must have highly developed analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skill sets.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and connect the dots.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Prior experience with JIRA and Confluence is a plus.
  • Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience is preferred.
  • Must be highly proficient in data manipulation and writing SQL queries.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, based on experience and location.
