Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Content Specialist to join our team at the University of Vermont. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining digital communications, social media, and marketing campaigns that raise awareness and strengthen the brand of UVM and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS).

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement digital communications strategies to engage external and internal audiences
- Collaborate with the CALS Director of Strategic Communications and the UVM Strategic Communications team to support external and internal communications and marketing goals
- Work with faculty, staff, and students within CALS to create, edit, and publish digital content for external and internal audiences
- Support maintenance and improvement needs of the CALS social media channels, newsfeeds, and newsletters

Requirements

- Associate's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, digital media, or a relevant liberal arts field
- One to three years related experience in digital communications roles and/or a portfolio of applicable work in the field
- Expertise with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere
- Experience with social media tools, techniques, analytics, and reporting
- Understanding of visual design principles for social media
- Experience with digital content writing and editing
