Airport Ground Transportation Operations Manager

The Spokane Airport is seeking an experienced Airport Ground Transportation Operations Manager to join their team. This role involves overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of the Parking & Ground Transportation Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, as well as adherence to airport standards and regulations.
  • Supervise snow removal operations, assigning priorities for snow removal crews and prioritizing customer requests for assistance.
  • Monitor parking operations, reacting to changes in the operating environment and reporting discrepancies.
  • Prepare daily reports and logs, reconciling revenue during shift and performing preventative maintenance and basic repair on parking equipment.
  • Coordinate major repairs with vendors and maintain equipment maintenance records.
  • Inspect Ground Transportation vehicles entering a service agreement to ensure compliance with airport standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma with preference for an associate degree in business, management, accounting, or a related field.
  • Three years customer service-related experience involving tenants, customers, and/or employees, with parking experience preferred.
  • One year supervisory experience required, with preference shown for supervisory experience in a cash handling work environment.
  • Mechanical, inventory control, and/or procurement experience beneficial.
  • Parking Professional Certification must be obtained within one year of hire.

The estimated salary for this role is $25-32 per hour, based on industry standards and the location.

The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also be able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize tasks effectively, and adapt to changing circumstances.
