About the RoleWe are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Fundraising and Development Professional through our internship program. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in fundraising, development, and community engagement while contributing to a mission-driven organization.
Responsibilities- Fundraising Support: Assist with Foundation fundraising by researching grant prospects, writing briefings, and assisting with grant proposals and reports. Conduct donor research, including church contacts, and engage with donors to build relationships and encourage continued support. Provide administrative support for membership fundraising initiatives, including data cleanup and setting up peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns.
- Department Meetings: Participate in regular department meetings to stay informed about ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Additional Projects: Work on additional projects as requested by the Campaign and Stewardship Manager or other team members.
- Pursuing a BA or BS degree with prior office work experience.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite, database software, and internet research.
- Experience with Raisers' Edge database is a plus.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
- Commitment to the mission of Bread for the World, Inc.
This internship can be based in Washington, DC or remotely. We are a hybrid organization that values flexibility and collaboration.

Compensation and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this internship is $15 per hour, with a minimum of 22.5 hours per week. Background and reference checks will be conducted on all final candidates.
