The Director of Tribal Relations will serve as the primary liaison between Fresno State and tribal nations, fostering strong relationships and collaborations to advance the university's mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to build and maintain relationships with tribal nations and communities
- Collaborate with university departments to advance tribal relations and cultural affairs
- Provide expertise and support to faculty and staff on tribal-related issues
- Develop and manage budgets and resources to support tribal relations initiatives
Requirements
- Master's degree in a related field, such as Native American Studies, Public Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in tribal relations, community engagement, or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $8,000 to $10,500 per month, with a competitive benefits package.
