Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Sales Director to join our team at Securian Financial Group. As a key member of our Individual Solutions market segment, you will be responsible for leading a team of advanced sales professionals and collaborating with regional sales directors and financial professionals to drive sales of individual life insurance and annuities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the company's advanced planning strategy, working closely with risk, underwriting, legal, and actuarial professionals.
  • Represent Securian Financial at industry events and in publishing industry-relevant articles, showcasing our expertise and thought leadership.
  • Build and maintain relationships with high-profile advisors, clients, and their tax and legal counsel, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of advanced sales support, driving business growth and revenue.
  • Lead and develop a team of senior consultants, providing training and guidance on tax and legal issues affecting sales ideas and practices.
  • Partner with marketing leadership to develop and distribute advanced sales and marketing materials, training, and reference materials.
  • Protect the company by reviewing sales strategies to ensure they align with our risk appetite.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry, with a deep understanding of advanced sales concepts and planning strategies.
  • Strong partnership mindset, with the ability to develop effective relationships with internal and external associates.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex strategies and financial concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time, with flexibility to work from home and in the office.
