Job Summary

The Transfer and Articulation Services Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the academic success of students at Baltimore City Community College. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining articulation agreements with partner institutions, ensuring seamless transfer of credits and promoting student mobility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain articulation agreements with partner institutions to facilitate transfer of credits and promote student mobility.
  • Collaborate with academic units to ensure curricular alignment and transfer course equivalencies.
  • Engage with enrollment management, admission, and other student services to support student recruitment, retention, and transfer efforts.
  • Conduct annual review of existing articulation agreements to ensure curricular alignment and make recommendations for updates.
  • Utilize institutional research data and resources to identify transfer pathways and develop strategies to increase student transfer rates.
  • Oversee the collection, maintenance, and analysis of transfer data and records, and compile data for MHEC Annual Transfer Report.
  • Develop and implement database applications, spreadsheets, and other technology solutions to automate and streamline processes.
  • Maintain and update programs and courses in ARTSYS, and remain current with COMAR, MHEC, and other policies and regulations.
  • Serve as BCCC's Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) representative and PTK mentor, ensuring PTK students are engaged and maintain active membership with the national organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and three years of related experience in admission, transfer, or student services within a college setting.
  • Knowledge of current transfer and articulation practices, and experience with diverse populations and providing direct support to students.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and planning skills, and experience working in a shared governance environment.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, student information systems, and degree audit tracking software.
