About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reliability Specialist to join our team at Commercial Metals Company. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead facility's annual testing and inspection requirements to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Diagnose and remedy complex problems related to electrical systems, including EAF and LF performance, incoming power irregularities, and substation problems.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to prevent equipment failures and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair or replacement of defective and damaged parts.
  • Procure supplies and spare parts to ensure effective and timely maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintain and revise instruction manuals, drawings, schematics, maintenance logs, and other documentation.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years electrical maintenance experience, preferably in a heavy industrial environment.
  • CMMS experience and PLC troubleshooting experience are highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance, hydraulics and pneumatics, arc regulation, and arc flash safety.
  • Experience with electrical relay control maintenance and repair proficiency, especially for cranes.
  • Extensive experience in maintenance of electrical control and distribution systems and analog and digital circuits.
  • Experience with MRO system, SAP system preferred.
  • Ability to read technical documents and manuals and write job instructional training documents.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
