Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular meetings focused on safety, quality, customer feedback, and financial performance with maintenance team members
  • Evaluate safety protocols and identify potential hazards
  • Assign technicians to specific tasks based on their skills and training needs at the beginning of each shift
  • Review job packages for accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure technicians are well-informed about job specifics, providing clarification as needed
  • Make tactical decisions to adhere closely to project schedules
  • Oversee the accurate allocation of time and materials to tasks, ensuring proper documentation
  • Initiate corrective work orders as required from inspections and other sources
  • Ensure safe and efficient installation, start-up, and commissioning of medium voltage electrical systems
  • Utilize sound judgment when troubleshooting AC/DC motor controls, PLCs, electrical drives, and high voltage systems, ensuring compliance with site voltage limits
  • Perform electrical maintenance tasks necessary for the installation and repair of various electrical systems and equipment
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Familiarity with Preventative and Planned Maintenance processes, with the ability to develop procedures and schedules preferred
  • Experience in maintaining welding machines, hydraulic systems, mechanical equipment, pneumatic systems, and cooling systems
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with software applications
  • Certification as a Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with operators, supervisors, maintenance personnel, suppliers, management, and support staff
Educational Background
  • Preferred education includes college, technical trade, or military training
