Business Manager

Vallen Distribution, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Business Manager to lead our ESEW (Emergency Shower and Eyewash) product line. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing strategic partnerships, and ensuring the success of our ESEW products.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement annual business plans for the ESEW product line, including sales forecasts and expense budgets.
- Manage pricing and gross margin for the ESEW/Safety product line, analyzing costs and trends to inform business decisions.
- Lead new product development teams, collaborating with sales, marketing, and engineering associates to create and update ESEW product specifications.
- Participate in marketing efforts, including website and e-marketing development, and provide input on product development and sales growth.
- Communicate directly with regional sales teams, customer service, and leadership on product development and sales growth.
- Represent Encon at trade shows and industry meetings, and participate in local shows with regional sales managers.
- Use the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to track effort, results, and product sales.
- Serve as an oversight member for supply chain management, developing relationships with vendors to ensure quality and excellence.
- Manage Encon's efforts with marketing groups, targeting, optimizing, and measuring results.
- Provide field support for regional sales managers, participating in product development and identifying new product needs.
- Assist in developing internal and external promotional activities, including sales quotations and marketing asset content generation.
- Manage the ESEW/Safety Products Division approach to diverse market channels, using customer service, sales, and accounting associates, as well as manufacturer representative groups.
- Participate in regulatory approval agency interactions to gain ESEW product performance certification.
- Manage and implement training programs for Encon staff, distributors, manufacturer representative groups, contractors, and end-users.
- Ability to travel internationally for customer visits, trade shows, and industry meetings.
- Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to set goals and meet deadlines.
- Proven history with technical products, including mechanical and electrical features.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to establish strong working relationships with end-users, contractors, distributors, co-workers, and management.
- Ability to mentor new staff and cross-train across various accounting functions.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
- Long and varied hours may be required occasionally.
- Ability to work in physically demanding functions, including extended exertion efforts.
- Ability to work in extreme hot or cold environments.
- Ability to work in dirty, dusty, and generally unkempt ambient air conditions.
