About the Role

The Ultrasound Technologist plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care at ThedaCare. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of ultrasound exams, including general, OB-GYN, interventional, and vascular procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply knowledge of anatomy and pathophysiology to implement appropriate imaging techniques and acquire required images.
  • Adjust to changing or unusual circumstances and ensure patient comfort and safety in various settings.
  • Apply critical thinking skills to triage and prioritize patients, ensuring order accuracy and timely completion of documentation.
  • Practice safety at all times, adhering to ALARA principles, safe patient handling practices, and infection prevention protocols.
  • Assist providers in diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program.
  • Hospital experience.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI registration or eligibility.
Work Environment

Frequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments. Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. Possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and pharmacological agents. Occasional high noise level in work environment.
