Job Responsibilities
The Fiscal Services Division (FSD) supports CARB's Fiscal Services Division and CalEPA in all fiscal service areas. This role involves independently advising the FSD Chief and Executive Offices on budget adjustments, funding availability, budgetary policies, and complex fiscal proposals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Direct supervision of subordinate managers and staff within the Budget Branch, Budgetary Control & Local Assistance, and Budget Sections, making high-level decisions for the Branch.
- Providing guidance to Budgets, Acquisitions, and Accounting management and staff, including analysts, on budgetary policies and the interpretation of Budget Act control language, DOF budget instructions, and policies.
- Consulting with and advising CARB's Fiscal Services Division management and analyst teams on budget policies, programs, and procedures.
