Key Responsibilities- Scheduling and Processing: Coordinate patient appointments, procedures, and services according to established guidelines and protocols.
- Financial Assistance: Provide patients with information and resources to cover anticipated clinic and medical center charges not covered by health plan, insurance, or other sources.
- Communication and Customer Service: Respond to patient inquiries, resolve issues, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Record Keeping and Data Entry: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic information, medical history, and treatment plans.
- Operational Support: Assist with daily operations, including answering phones, responding to emails, and performing other administrative tasks as needed.
- Education and Certification: High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Experience: One year of customer service experience or clerical experience in a healthcare-related setting; prior experience with computerized scheduling systems preferred.
- Skills and Knowledge: Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing; ability to keep accurate records and perform mathematical calculations; knowledge of ICD-10 & CPT coding and medical terminology preferred.
