Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Queen's Health System. As a Patient Service Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical services, providing exceptional patient care, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient scheduling and processing, adhering to established guidelines and protocols.
  • Provide financial assistance to patients, helping them identify resources to cover medical charges not covered by insurance or other sources.
Typical Physical Demands

This role requires:

  • Essential: standing, walking, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, repetitive arm/hand motions.
  • Frequent: reaching below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object.
  • Occasional: sitting, stooping/bending, twisting body, lifting, pushing/pulling, and carrying weight up to 20 pounds, reaching at shoulder level.
Typical Working Conditions

This role is not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education/Certification and Licensure: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: One (1) year customer service experience or clerical experience in a healthcare-related setting.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Prior experience demonstrating ability to operate office equipment, such as computers, copiers, and telephones.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with computer applications and automated systems.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 & CPT coding and medical terminology.
