Job Overview:
Join Lockheed Martin Corporation as a Field Service Engineer specializing in the F-35 Program. This role is integral to our Aeronautics Field Sustainment team, providing critical support for advanced military aircraft operations.


Position Summary:
The selected candidate will serve as a Nose to Tail (NTT) Field Service Engineer (FSE), demonstrating expertise in Avionics/Mission Systems (MS), Vehicle Systems (VS), or Supportable Low Observable (SLO)/Structures. A strong understanding of the other two disciplines is also essential, enabling effective troubleshooting and analytical capabilities across systems.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct advanced troubleshooting and analysis of technical issues encountered in the field.
2. Participate in debriefings to swiftly identify and address emerging challenges, minimizing aircraft downtime.
3. Document unusual operational or maintenance issues to facilitate the identification of trends and potential failures.
4. Initiate Action Requests (ARs) for unique operational challenges requiring technical or procedural resolutions.
5. Provide on-site assistance to both company and customer personnel during AR initiation.
6. Engage in travel as necessary, with potential for long-term deployments.
7. Collaborate effectively within a team environment, ensuring clear communication with customer personnel at all levels.
8. Support aircraft ground maintenance and operational limitations as required.
9. Lead and monitor multiple engineering initiatives, providing regular updates to customers and program management.


Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- Experience with 5th Generation Fighter Aircraft (F-22 or F-35)
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in Avionics/Mission Systems, Supportable Low Observable/Structures, or Vehicle Systems/APG
- A valid Secret Security Clearance.


Preferred Skills:
While not mandatory, the following skills will enhance a candidate's profile:
- Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer
- Proficiency in Avionics/MS, APG/VS, or SLO/Structures
- Expertise in fault isolation and problem analysis at the subsystem level
- Technical report writing capabilities
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings/schematics
- Experience with engineering tools such as PDM, VAS, JEDI, JARVIS, CRE, and VAST/Vision
- Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) license
- Knowledge of CATIA and System/Software Engineering Environment (S/SEE).


Security Clearance:
This position requires a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. Citizens for consideration.


Work Environment:
This role is performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility, with potential for flexible work schedules.
