Role Responsibilities:

The Field Services Engineer is essential in delivering hands-on technical support to diagnose and resolve issues related to CNC machinery. This position requires exceptional customer service skills and a strong aptitude for problem-solving.

As a client-facing role, you will assist customers with complex technical challenges on-site. Following your training in Baltimore, you will shadow a Senior Technician and, once prepared, will independently manage client assignments in the field with remote technical support.

YER USA is committed to fostering a well-trained workforce, offering ongoing training opportunities at their Academy, equipped with six training rooms and two conference rooms for organized courses.

During your assignments, you will oversee all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing tasks. When not traveling, you will assist customers in troubleshooting equipment via phone and remote connections. Your duties will also encompass producing timely and detailed service reports, collaborating with the technical team, and sharing insights across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Mechanics, Industrial Electronics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in technical field service with CNC equipment is essential.
  • Experience in the steel fabrication industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documentation and procedures, along with writing professional reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for document preparation and report maintenance.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and a keen attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel and participate in various training and development opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills are required.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Commissioning both new and existing machines.
  • Providing operator and maintenance training to customers.
  • Conducting field repairs and maintenance.
  • Offering hotline service support.
  • Traveling for service calls across the USA and Canada.
  • Documenting service activities.
  • Building and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Delivering practical technical solutions and advice to clients.
