Job Overview


MSCCN is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the payroll operations team, you will play a critical role in delivering quality payroll processes and exceptional customer service to the organization.


Key Responsibilities



  • Provide extensive insight and direction related to payroll transactional processes, including payroll inputs, time entry, overpayment recovery, retroactive payments, and withholding orders.
  • Ensure completion of assigned payroll transactions in accordance with established standards, supporting successful execution of payroll processes and coordinating with a combination of HCM, Benefits, and Payroll resources to address escalated inquiries.
  • Support development of internal controls and management reports based on state and federal tax regulations, identifying process improvement opportunities to deliver enhanced customer services to the organization.
  • Coordinate with other resources to address escalated inquiries as required, contributing to an outstanding customer-service environment.

Requirements


A Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business administration, computer science, economics, or a closely related field that includes thirty quarter hours or twenty semester hours of college-level accounting courses is required, along with three years of experience working in a payroll-related role, including working knowledge of key payroll transactional processes, accounting standards, and taxation requirements.


Estimated Salary: $54,140 - $72,480 per year.
