Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounts Receivable Associate to join our team at HD Supply. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable records, ensuring timely and efficient processing of customer payments, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compute and record interest charges, refunds, and similar items, and prepare accurate account statements.
  • Perform data verification audits to ensure compliance with company policies and practices.
  • Enter, verify, and research data within department systems, and perform research and reconciliation functions to update and maintain account information.
  • Support customer requests for special billing services and coordinate with service centers regarding missing COD checks.
  • Research unapplied payments, notify customers, record responses, and process refund/application requests.
  • Perform data verification audits on offshore processes for accuracy and quality, and work closely with the Offshore team on errors and clarifications.
  • Work with banks to obtain data to process customer payments, payments received due to insufficient funds, and return monies sent to the organization in error.
  • Utilize the general ledger for intersystem transfers, miscellaneous payments, and refund processes, and handle research on these items as needed.
  • Assist in the completion of all work for statement and month close to ensure service level agreements are met, and serve as a backup to the Lead Accounts Receivable Associate.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a related area of responsibility.
  • Technical certification or associate degree may be required in some areas.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
