Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Per Diem

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality radiologic images in various areas, including general radiography, fluoroscopy, and portable imaging.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform radiographic imaging in areas such as OR, ER, pain clinic, orthopedic, and fluoroscopy.
  • Provide radiation protection by placing and adjusting lead shields and collimating in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
  • Assist radiologists, speech pathologists, and surgeons in their respective areas with room preparation, exam completion, and room turnover.
  • Maintain knowledge of Radiation Safety, Hospital, and Departmental Policies.
  • Mentor and assist in the training of Radiologic Technologist students and new staff in performing Radiologic exams, sterile technique, and proper stocking of supplies in radiographic rooms.
  • Participate in the quality assurance plan for the Diagnostic Imaging program.
  • Enter the appropriate charges into the EMR accurately for all exams.
  • Ensure that all exams are of high quality and available for interpretation in a timely fashion.
Requirements:
  • Graduated from an approved program in Radiologic Sciences.
  • Current Massachusetts state license as a Radiologic technologist.
  • Current ARRT registry in Radiologic Sciences.
  • New graduates must obtain ARRT certification within 1 year of start of employment.
  • Current BLS.
  • Staff adheres to all I.C.A.R.E. Standards.
Working Conditions:
  • Work in an area that can be noisy and have extreme temperature/humidity variations.
  • Exposure to ionizing radiation.
  • Continuous standing, sitting, and lifting.
  • Must be able to lift and move 25 pounds of weight.
