Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Radiologic Technologist to work on a per diem basis. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and possess a strong understanding of radiologic principles and procedures.
Responsibilities:- Perform various radiographic imaging procedures, including general radiography, fluoroscopy, and portable imaging.
- Provide radiation protection by placing and adjusting lead shields and collimating in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
- Assist radiologists, speech pathologists, and surgeons in their respective areas with room preparation, exam completion, and room turnover.
- Maintain knowledge of Radiation Safety, Hospital, and Departmental Policies.
- Participate in the quality assurance plan for the Diagnostic Imaging program.
- Enter the appropriate charges into the EMR accurately for all exams.
- Ensure that all exams are of high quality and available for interpretation in a timely fashion.
- Graduation from an approved program in Radiologic Sciences.
- Current Massachusetts state license as a Radiologic technologist.
- Current ARRT registry in Radiologic Sciences.
- New graduates must obtain ARRT certification within 1 year of start of employment.
- Current BLS.
