East Boston Neighborhood Health Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiologic Technologist (Per Diem) to join our dedicated team.

In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality radiographic images under the guidance of the Radiology Supervisor and BMC Radiologists. Your expertise will ensure that patients receive safe, confidential, and professional care while undergoing diagnostic imaging procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic examinations, including head and neck studies, chest studies, spine and pelvis exams, upper and lower extremity studies, abdominal imaging, and pediatric procedures.
  • Utilize technical factors to ensure optimal image quality while adhering to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles for radiation safety.
  • Effectively utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and electronic image archiving software.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures clearly and respectfully, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout the process.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in recognizing age-related pathology and physical presentations when performing exams and selecting appropriate technical factors.
  • Maintain a safe and sterile environment, adhering to universal precautions as necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Graduate of an AMA Approved Radiologic Technology Training Program. An associate's degree is strongly desired.
  • ARRT Certified.
  • Licensed by the state of Massachusetts in Radiography.
  • CPR Certified and ability to maintain certification annually.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a high-volume environment performing diagnostic radiographic examinations.
  • Strong working knowledge of radiology principles and practices.
