Effectively addressing complaints is vital; transforming a dissatisfied customer into a happy one while adhering to company guidelines requires a blend of empathy and diplomacy.
Another essential duty is to uphold the presentation of the sales area, merchandise, signage, and displays. Ultimately, Customer Engagement Specialists ensure that customers leave satisfied and contribute to the store's profitability by maintaining a clean, well-organized environment and meeting or surpassing sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit professionalism in all interactions, both in-store and online.
- Be vigilant to ensure the safety of the store and the security of products.
- Welcome and assist customers in locating suitable products.
- Achieve sales targets through consultative selling and cross-promotions.
- Accurately manage the cash register, including promotions, returns, and other transactions.
- Effectively manage customer pull boxes, including timely communication regarding pickups.
- Stay informed about products, events, and policies to provide accurate information to customers.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding specific products and events.
- Ensure displays are organized, stocked, and visually appealing during operational hours.
- Consistently follow daily tasks focused on cleanliness and merchandising to maintain an attractive store environment.
- Be flexible to work at various locations and adapt to occasional irregular shifts.
- Promote an inclusive and enjoyable community atmosphere for all customers.
- Engage customers authentically, understanding their needs and interests while assisting them in finding desired products.
- Interact courteously and respectfully with customers and colleagues.
- Prioritize tasks effectively, focusing on maximizing sales and customer satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of comics and pop culture, with enthusiasm for at least one specific area of fandom.
- Demonstrated accountability, empathy, and situational awareness.
- Minimum of one year of experience in customer service and retail.
- Enjoyment in working with the public.
- Motivated, energetic, organized, and reliable.
- Access to reliable transportation.
