To ensure that repair jobs meet the requirements of the customer as defined by the customer's purchase order, scope of work, and/or special instructions.

Describe current conditions in ValvKeep and make recommendations to the Service Coordinator for needed repairs to customer-owned equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure critical dimensions
  • Assess and inspect all parts
  • Read and interpret blueprint drawings
  • Read drawings of various fittings parts
  • Complete Non-Destructive Testing Certification and training for VT & PT inspections
  • Clean and prepare fittings for NDT inspections as required by standards
  • Communicate with the welding department for repair of fittings
  • Utilize precision machinist tools efficiently
  • Utilize Quality tools such as Vanier calipers, micrometers, height gauge, etc.
  • Learn all Quality Procedures (QP) and Work Instructions (WI)
  • Learn production processes and company workflow

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High School Education or GED Equivalent (a plus)
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Knowledge of company quality procedures
    • Basic mechanical aptitude, including hand and power tool knowledge
    • Organized and detail-oriented
    • Safety and Quality-minded
    • Basic mechanic knowledge
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose systemic problems
    • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google
    • Sales-oriented
  • Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance with company driving guidelines
  • Clear background check and drug/alcohol screening

Essential Physical Functions:

  • Lifting: up to 50 pounds
  • Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions
  • Lift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feet
  • Bending, stooping, walking, and climbing stairs
  • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps
  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces
