Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Director to join our team at Lake County Government. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to lead our financial management activities and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Oversee the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and systems to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Accounting and Auditing: Manage the accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and budgeting. Coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Grant Management: Develop and implement grant strategies to secure funding from government agencies, foundations, and other sources.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to senior management on financial matters.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in finance, preferably in a government setting.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
