Appraiser I

Lake County Government seeks a skilled Appraiser I to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about real estate valuation and possess excellent analytical skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting data to complete unbiased appraisal judgments of various properties in Lake County. They will also assist taxpayers in person, via email, or over the phone as necessary.

• Determine market value of assigned properties using cost, market, or income approaches.
• Educate taxpayers on the assessment process and procedures used to arrive at actual and assessed values.
• Research and prepare tax roll changes.
• Accurately update property records as needed.

• Active Colorado Ad Valorem Appraisal License.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience in real estate, appraisal, or related fields preferred.

• Competitive salary range: $44,000 - $49,000 per annum.
