Position Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and self-driven individual to join our Engines division, focusing on the design, development, and testing of propulsion systems. Your role will be crucial in enhancing engine reliability through data-driven insights and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and establish reliability criteria for engine systems.
  • Contribute to initial design assessments to incorporate reliability into avionics architecture.
  • Formulate requirements and design strategies to ensure fault tolerance in engine control systems.
  • Assist in the selection of electronic components.
  • Create testing protocols to identify potential failure modes and validate reliability objectives.
  • Conduct reliability assessments to pinpoint design vulnerabilities and recommend enhancements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Over 8 years of experience in system safety, reliability, or RAMS engineering for complex electronic systems.
  • Proven ability to foster collaborative relationships that enhance team effectiveness.
  • Experience in reliability engineering for electronic components and assemblies.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering practices throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Proficient in conducting various reliability analyses, including FMECA and Fault Tree Analysis.
  • Knowledge of reliability modeling software.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • U.S. citizenship or lawful residency is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in electronics reliability for aerospace applications.
  • Expertise in avionics design and manufacturing processes.
  • Background in Fault-detection and Recovery assessments.
  • Hands-on experience with liquid rocket engines and associated testing facilities.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and CAD models.
  • Experience in safety-critical environments.
