Job Summary

Coffman Engineers, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Senior Electrical Designer to join our team in applying engineering skills to a variety of diverse and challenging projects. The successful candidate will have a minimum of seven years of experience in the design and drafting of power, lighting, and low-voltage systems for federal/DOD, commercial, healthcare, educational, industrial, multi-family, and/or high-rise facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and draft electrical systems for various projects, including power, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets project requirements and company standards.
  • Perform electrical calculations and ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design plans and specifications.
  • Train and mentor junior designers to improve their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Technical/Associate degree in engineering or related science (preferred).
  • 7+ years of design and drafting experience, including experience with CAD and BIM software.
  • Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD and REVIT, with advanced drafting and layout skills.
  • Knowledgeable with electrical calculations and Tile-24 calculations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
