Community Impact Coordinator

POAH Communities is in search of a qualified individual to take on the role of Community Impact Coordinator. This position is crucial in bridging the gap between residents and the Community Impact department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the Property Manager, the Community Impact Coordinator will be tasked with:
  • Conducting annual resident surveys to evaluate the needs of families and individuals.
  • Collaborating with residents, site staff, management, and local service providers to create and implement supportive service programs.
  • Coordinating service delivery with local human service organizations.
  • Identifying beneficial programs for youth and families, such as health workshops, benefits enrollment, meal delivery, and community-building activities.
  • Maintaining confidential records of resident services in compliance with HUD regulations.
  • Setting program objectives, tracking progress, and utilizing outcome data for ongoing program enhancement, while reporting results to stakeholders.
  • Communicating effectively with residents through newsletters, flyers, and bulletin boards to keep them informed about available resources and programs.
  • Staying informed on Fair Housing, EIV, ADA, and other relevant HUD regulations, as well as lease agreements and community rules.
  • Participating in required meetings and contributing to special projects as directed by the Property Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of three years of experience in resident or social service programs, preferably within affordable housing.
  • The ability to engage and motivate a diverse population of residents.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Certification as a Resident Coordinator is advantageous.
  • A college degree, ideally in social work, urban planning, public health, human services, or community development is preferred.
  • High proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese, both verbal and written.
