II. Key Responsibilities:

Economic Mobility Pathways manages a global learning network known as the Economic Mobility Exchange. This network includes over 1,000 organizations and governmental bodies focused on adopting our Mobility Mentoring model to assist low-income families and individuals in achieving economic independence. The Community Engagement Coordinator will play a vital role in nurturing and sustaining relationships with member organizations, overseeing projects, facilitating workshops and training sessions, and contributing to the ongoing enhancement of our model.

Salary: $60,000 USD Annually

Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday-Friday (with the option of a 4-day work week)

Position Title: Community Engagement Coordinator

Supervisor: Director of Member Relations

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Build and maintain relationships with network members;
  • Provide administrative support for program design and implementation in collaboration with leadership;
  • Assist members in accessing Exchange resources, training, and network services;
  • Facilitate the sharing of best practices within the learning network by developing and leading discussions on new methods and tools;
  • Convey insights gained from interactions with partners and members to enhance core operations and curriculum content;
  • Manage shared learning initiatives, including monthly webinars and case studies;
  • Engage in internal quality improvement and cross-departmental innovation efforts;
  • Co-facilitate trainings, workshops, and presentations, both in-person and online;
  • Represent Economic Mobility Pathways at conferences and external events;
  • Support senior staff in coordinating special learning cohorts;
  • Undertake additional research, administrative, and development tasks as needed.

  • Experience in public speaking and presentations;
  • Capacity to listen, learn, and synthesize information for continuous improvement;
  • Self-driven with the ability to manage multiple projects;
  • Proficient in articulating ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing;
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies;
  • Awareness of current trends in supporting individuals and families towards self-sufficiency;
  • Interest in the effects of poverty and trauma on executive functioning;
  • Knowledge of coaching and mentoring best practices;
  • Adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Educational and Other Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a relevant field (e.g., social work, public health, sociology, education);
  • Experience or strong knowledge of nonprofit and governmental systems, particularly in child and family services;
  • Understanding of nonprofit program design and implementation;
  • Strong facilitation skills;
  • Experience with immigrant and refugee communities is a plus;
  • Bi-lingual abilities are advantageous;
  • Experience working with diverse and low-income populations;
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and motivational interviewing;
  • Experience providing technical assistance to nonprofit organizations;
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Economic Mobility Pathways, including Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging;
  • Willingness to travel out of state approximately 5-10% of the time;
  • Ability to work in a hybrid remote schedule, attending the office at least twice a week.
