POAH Communities, a dynamic organization dedicated to community enhancement and the preservation of vulnerable affordable rental housing, is in search of a qualified candidate to fill the role of Community Impact Coordinator for Flat 9 and The Loop at Mattapan Station Apartments.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Community Impact Coordinator will play a crucial role as the intermediary between the residents of our apartments and the Community Impact department at POAH Communities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct annual resident surveys to evaluate the needs of families and individuals.
- Collaborate with residents, site staff, management, and local service providers to create and implement supportive service programs.
- Facilitate the coordination of services with local human service organizations.
- Identify and promote beneficial programs for youth and families, such as health workshops, benefits enrollment, meal delivery, and community-building events.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident service information in compliance with HUD regulations.
- Set program objectives, monitor progress, and utilize outcome data for ongoing program enhancement, reporting results to stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with residents through newsletters, flyers, and bulletin boards to keep them informed about available resources and programs.
- Stay informed on Fair Housing, EIV, ADA, mandated reporting, and other relevant HUD regulations and community guidelines.
- Participate in all required meetings and contribute to special projects as directed by the Property Manager.
- Be willing to support and travel to multiple properties as needed.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A minimum of three years of experience in resident or social service programs, preferably within affordable housing.
- Strong ability to engage and motivate diverse resident populations.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated organizational and time management capabilities.
- Certification as a Resident Coordinator is advantageous.
- A college degree, ideally in social work, urban planning, public health, human services, or community development, is preferred.
