We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Ascension Seton. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for operating a scanner to obtain high-quality images used to diagnose and treat various pathologies.
Responsibilities- Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images of the body
- Prepare and position patients for examinations, ensuring accurate anatomic and technical parameters
- Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination
- Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media, and develop film in an automatic processor
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines
- Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider, Nuclear Medical Tech, Radiologic Technologist, Medical Sonographer, or Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree
