Ara Diagnostic Imaging is seeking an experienced EMT to support our team in providing high-quality patient care in a diagnostic imaging setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist technical and medical staff in maintaining consistent patient workflow and supporting medical care as outlined in Clinical Operating Guidelines.
- Perform insertion and removal of IV catheters, i-Stat Creatinine testing, and other related duties.
- Monitor and maintain adequate levels of equipment and supplies, and provide patient advocacy through direct patient care.
- Assist with MRI safety screening, confirming MR compatibility of implanted items, and performing other related duties.
- Successful completion of a Texas Department State Health Services approved EMT program.
- Certified Texas Emergency Medical Technician; CPR certified.
- At least one year of EMT experience in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Highly motivated with great organizational skills.
- Able to multitask and provide proficient patient care in the clinical setting.
- Proficient in basic EMT skills and radiology information system (RIS).
Working Conditions: Moderate amount of kneeling, reaching, and stooping. Constant amount of walking, standing, and sitting. Ability to assist patients, up to 650 pounds, from sitting, standing, and lying positions with the use of proper lifting methods.
