North Wind Federal Services, LLC is a distinguished Alaska Native owned Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) dedicated to providing comprehensive infrastructure support services, facilities management, base operations, waste management, radiological services, security measures, environmental solutions, janitorial services, and professional administrative management.
ROLE OBJECTIVE:
This executive position is crucial for steering the success of North Wind Group's initiatives from the initial phase to completion. The role encompasses managing a varied portfolio of projects, offering strategic direction, and ensuring the achievement of outstanding results that surpass client expectations. This is a chance to demonstrate leadership capabilities, utilize industry knowledge, and create a significant impact on North Wind Group and the communities served.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Strategic Direction: Formulate and implement strategic initiatives for program management, aligning with the organization’s vision and values. Lead by example, motivating teams to adopt innovation and excellence in all endeavors. Responsible for continuous growth in project backlog and market share.
  • Project Management: Guide project managers and teams, ensuring project execution aligns with timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks. Promote a collaborative and results-driven environment that empowers teams to excel.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner. Anticipate client needs, proactively resolve issues, and deliver solutions that enhance value and foster mutual success.
  • Resource Allocation: Efficiently manage resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment, to optimize project outcomes and enhance efficiency. Identify opportunities for resource optimization and implement strategies to boost productivity and profitability.
  • Risk Assessment: Recognize potential risks and challenges associated with projects, develop thorough risk mitigation strategies, and monitor progress to ensure timely resolutions. Anticipate obstacles and proactively implement measures to minimize disruptions and maintain project flow.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 15 years of progressive experience in program management within the Engineering, Construction, and Professional Services sectors, with a proven history of successfully leading complex projects.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities, with the ability to inspire and empower teams to achieve ambitious objectives.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport and influencing diverse stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, with proficiency in relevant software.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a proven ability to foster an inclusive work environment.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to travel, active US Government security clearance or the ability to obtain one, pre-employment testing and screening.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional certification in a specialized discipline (e.g., Professional Engineer, Professional Geologist, Registered Architect) and Registered Project Management Professional.
