Job Title: Construction Field Engineer

Join the Naval Nuclear Laboratory team as a Construction Field Engineer and contribute to the development of advanced nuclear propulsion technology. As a key member of our Construction Field Engineering team, you will interface with system and infrastructure engineering and subcontractors to execute projects at the Naval Reactors Facility in Idaho.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop technical documents, including specifications, work scopes, alternative options, and contract documents.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and problem-solve complex issues.
  • Stay knowledgeable of 29 CFR 1926 OSHA Construction Industry Regulations and Standards, as well as Building Codes and Standards.
  • Plan and execute projects, and develop/review cost estimates.
  • Utilize software tools, such as Autocad, blue beam, and MS Office.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or a science-related field, and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Alternatively, a Master's degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
