POSITION SUMMARY: The Client Relations Specialist plays a crucial role in managing daily operations related to customer accounts and supporting Account Managers. This position involves effective communication and coordination with suppliers and Account Managers while ensuring exceptional customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exhibit and promote core behaviors while mentoring and guiding team members.
  • Champion a culture of safety within the workplace.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to all incoming communications from customers and Account Managers.
  • Thoroughly analyze and assess customer requirements with precision and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and Account Managers to identify, source, and price suitable product solutions, providing quotes as per established guidelines.
  • Process customer orders, Return Material Authorizations, and Guaranteed Test Orders, ensuring timely fulfillment.
  • Regularly monitor P21 portals for potential late orders, Return Material Authorizations, unapproved orders, and items not on a purchase order.
  • Identify and address root cause issues by collaborating with relevant cross-functional teams to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Blackhawk policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of BHID systems (including P21, OS ticket, CribMaster, Autocrib, etc.) and supplier systems.
  • Adhere to company-prescribed ISO processes and procedures while utilizing appropriate systems.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills via phone, email, and instant messaging.
  • Excellent critical thinking abilities for problem analysis and resolution.
  • Detail-oriented and diligent in task execution.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, adapt to urgent situations, and meet daily deadlines.
  • Proficient in basic computer operations and capable of learning new software applications.
  • Experience with vending platforms (CribMaster, Autocrib, etc.) is a plus.
  • Background in the industrial sector, B2B sales, and customer service is preferred.

SUPERVISORY ROLE:

  • No direct supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or inside sales is preferred.
  • Experience in cutting tools, abrasives, and MRO sectors is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.

CERTIFICATIONS:

  • No specific certifications required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Regularly required to communicate in English, stand, walk, sit, and operate tools or controls; reach with hands and arms. Use of computers and other equipment is necessary.
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds may be required. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to focus clearly.
