- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and construction teams to ensure effective implementation of environmental, health, and safety programs.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on environmental, health, and safety procedures and protocols.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance and effective communication.
- Manage and coordinate environmental, health, and safety budgets and resources.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce environmental, health, and safety risks and improve overall performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental engineering, regulations, and water and wastewater operations.
- Minimum 10 years of direct safety experience and/or supervision of construction projects, operations, and/or regulatory oversight.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supervising technical staff.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information to others with various backgrounds and knowledge bases.
- Ability to research, interpret, and summarize data.
- Must have demonstrated ability to manage enterprise-level projects on time and within budget.
- Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- State-mandated certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Valid driver's license issued by the state where employed.
