Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Aerospace Laser Operator to work on our 1st shift. In this role, you will utilize advanced laser technology to manufacture high-quality aerospace products.

As an Aerospace Laser Operator, your responsibilities will include programming and managing computerized machinery, interpreting blueprints and specifications, conducting inspections and measurements of components, and performing routine equipment maintenance. Collaboration with various departments will be essential to coordinate production schedules, propose cost-saving measures, and uphold quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup and operate laser cutting, bending, and punching machinery. Familiarity with TRUMPF machines is advantageous.
  • Inspect and measure components in accordance with blueprints and customer specifications.
  • Maintain product quality and consistency throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify any machine errors or malfunctions.
  • Utilize measuring instruments (Calipers, Protractors, Tape measures, etc.) with proficiency.
  • Ensure CNC machines and work areas are kept in optimal condition.

Machine Support Duties:

  • Adjust machinery and programs as necessary and perform minor maintenance tasks.
  • Input data into departmental computer systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to manage scheduling effectively.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in the workspace.
  • Engage in:
    • Daily production meetings as required.
    • Proposing and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
    • Interacting with the Quality Assurance Department.
    • Maintaining an organized, clean, and safe working environment.
    • Building strong working relationships within and across departments.
    • Assisting with the procurement of departmental supplies.

  • Expertise in machine setups for production runs.

Compensation:

$21 - $25 / hr
