Key ResponsibilitiesThe Nurse Coordinator (NC) is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-focused care and coordinating all activities within the unit during the assigned shift.
Working closely with the management team, the NC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care according to established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization's mission and values to support exceptional patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
In this role, you will:
- Assist with patient admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient operations and high-quality care.
- Participate in ongoing assessments of the quality of care provided in collaboration with the management team.
- Collaborate with experts and managers to foster a teamwork environment that promotes improved outcomes and service.
- Uphold a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.- Support initiatives to enhance staff engagement through current nursing strategies.
- Provide input on hiring, training, and development of new staff.- Recommend and implement actions related to training, conflict resolution, and performance evaluations to ensure organizational excellence.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor resources in accordance with patient care needs.- Oversee inventory control and assist in managing supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program with completion within five years of hire.
Preferred Education:Master’s degree in Nursing.
Required License/Certifications:
Current registered nurse licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply.
Required Experience:
Minimum of one year of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
