Position Overview:
The Branch Operations Director is tasked with overseeing and managing all aspects of facility operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, optimizing sales performance, maintaining transactional quality, ensuring inventory precision, delivering exceptional customer service, overseeing facility upkeep, fostering employee relations, and enhancing productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and uphold comprehensive training programs, inspections, corrective measures, and a culture centered on workplace safety.
- Assume full responsibility for Profit and Loss (P&L). Formulate and manage financial plans and budgets.
- Promote, adapt, and lead the organization's overarching 80/20 philosophy at the Service Center level.
- Proactively recruit, mentor, and nurture both new and existing talent through effective leadership.
- Devise and execute strategies aimed at the Service Center's growth, focusing on achieving local, regional, and organizational objectives.
- Oversee and manage facility operations related to sales, customer service, transaction quality, inventory accuracy, facility maintenance, and logistics.
- Coordinate and assess daily facility activities to ensure that customer service and transaction accuracy metrics are consistently met.
- Develop process maps and enforce compliance with internal Standard Operating Procedures.
- Evaluate performance using metrics against established goals in safety, transaction accuracy, inventory precision, equipment inspections, and other administrative functions.
- Address issues within the flow of materials and implement procedures to guarantee that transactions are executed accurately at all times.
- Manage all administrative tasks, including facility and equipment maintenance, compliance with OSHA regulations, fuel management, and procurement activities.
- Collaborate with support departments to drive profitable sales, ensure an efficient supply chain, cultivate a productive workforce, and uphold financial integrity.
- Control and reduce labor overtime, premium freight, and repair costs without compromising safety.
- Provide leadership and training to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Experience in sales, sales management, and customer service, with supervisory experience over a team of four or more employees.
- Distribution Experience - preferably in Building Materials.
- Prior experience in operations management is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness and ability to travel locally during business hours and occasionally overnight.
- Ability to sit for extended periods, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch as necessary.
- Capability to lift and move up to 60 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 120 pounds.
