Job Title: Logistics Supervisor

The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for directing and coordinating the delivery of High Transit LLC's finished products and raw materials. This role will develop plans that maximize personnel and equipment to satisfy customer demands at a safe, low-cost position to High Transit LLC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops, maintains, and reports on delivery standards.
  • Optimizes the routing & delivery schedule for daily orders in an efficient manner.
  • Manages key cost drivers & leverage points to achieve balance among them.
  • Ensures carrier performance and reports on overall fulfillment of value proposition for outside carriers.
  • Communicates with all High Transit Logistics Supervisors to collectively manage the activities of the equipment and driver pool for High Transit LLC.
  • Manages delivery representative driver team hours relative to High Companies, Safety Management requirements, DOT regulations, overnights, vacations, etc.
  • Coordinates the flow of inbound raw material & customer returns as required.
  • Facilitates monthly drivers' meetings & promotes positive communication.
  • Performs co-worker evaluations & makes salary recommendations related to merit reviews, promotions, job transfers, training, etc.
Requirements:
  • B.S. in Logistics, Business, or a related field required. May be waived with 10 years of experience in increasingly progressive roles.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in the transportation logistics industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Google mail, routing process and SAP.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • APICS, CPIM or CSCP certification(s) preferred.
  • American Society of Transportation & Logistics CTL certification preferred.
  • American Society of Quality white, yellow, or green belt preferred.
  • Commercial Drivers License preferred.
